    Sociological Abstracts is the primary index to research in Sociology. Provided via Cambridge Scientific.
  • Criminal Justice Abstracts
    Comprehensive coverage of international journals, books, reports, dissertations and unpublished papers on criminology and related disciplines.
Scholarly, FullText
  • JSTOR
    Complete collections of many Sociology, Political Science and African American Studies journals (among other topics). The collections begin as far back as the 1880s and go until (typically) five years ago. Very few current journals.

    Broad database with both Academic and general periodicals articles. Many fulltext, though some citation only. Provided by Electronic Library for Minnesota.
  • Communication & Mass Media Index
    Communication & Mass Media Complete provides the most robust, quality research solution in areas related to communication and mass media. It indexes several sociology journals, with emphasis on research in communication, mass media, and advertising.
  • Electronic Collections Online
    General subjects. Miscellaneous full-text journals available to the WSU community; includes Academic Press Journals.
  • ERIC (CSA)
    Primarily education. Full text ERIC documents from 1993 to the present. Papers presented at the American Sociological Association often included.
  • FirstSearch Complete
    Over 60 different databases available covering all areas of study. Includes: Dissertation Abstracts International, Econlit, PAIS, Social Sciences Index, Index to Legal Periodicals, and others. Access requires password, inquire at Reference Desk.
  • Lexis-Nexis
    Full text for newspapers, court opinions, statistical tables, congressional documents, and business trade journals. Especially valuable for sociology: Legal Research valuable for inclusion of law reviews and entire cases. Statistical Universe for tables of social and economic statistics on many topics.
  • Digital Sanborn Maps
    Primarily Local History. Digitized maps of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri and Louisiana from 1867-1970
  • Urban Studies & Planning: SAGE
    Urban Studies & Planning: A SAGE Full-Text Collection includes the full text of 12 journals published by SAGE and participating societies, some journals going back 37 years.
