- Materials Research Database with METADEX
A suite of databases from Cambridge Scientific relating to materials science and engineering. Sources covered include over 3,000 periodicals, conference proceedings, technical reports, etc. Strong in metallurgy and composite engineering.
Scholarly, FullText
- AccessEngineering
Formerly Digital Engineering Library or McGraw-Hill Engineering Online. Features content from publications such as Koo’s Polymer Nanocomposites, Handbook of Plastics, Elastomers, and Composites (4th ed.), Modern Plastics Handbook, Veselovsky’s Adhesion of Polymers, and many more..
- Materials Science: SAGE
It includes the full text of 15 journals published by SAGE, some journals going back 10 years. It covers such subjects as high performance polymers.
- ScienceDirect
This database has all scholarly articles, mostly from sciences, though some social sciences. Citations from 1980 to present. Some full text starting in 1993, more full text from 1997 to the present.
- Polymers Database
A rather small database of chemical information from ChemNetBase. There are only about 1,000 entries in the database. Data includes surface properties, electrical properties, optical properties, etc. Instead of data, the entry often refers to the original research articles.
Scholarly, Citations, Free Access Worldwide
- Springerlink
Searching all Springer publications, with citations and abstracts. Full text is not available.
