- PubMed
Comprehensive index to medical literature from the National Library of Medicine. Citations to articles as far back as the 1950s.
- PubMed MeSH Tutorial
A WSU guide to how to seach for Medical Subject Headings in the PubMed database. NOTE: PubMed changed its interface in October of 2009. To search MeSH as shown in this tutorial, on the initial page where it says: "Search: PubMed," use the dropdown menu to change "PubMed" to "MeSH".

Broad database with both Academic and general periodicals articles. Many fulltext, though some citation only. Provided by Electronic Library for Minnesota.
- CINAHL
Index for Nursing and Allied Health. Most records in CINAHL proper are just citations with abstracts, but there are a few full text articles here as well.
- PubMed Central
This subset of PubMed has all full text articles from Medical journals.

- Annual Review of Biochemistry
From this resource, you can search all of the Annual Reviews for citation references, including the Annual Review of Medicine.
- FirstSearch Complete
Over 60 different databases available covering all areas of study. Includes: Dissertation Abstracts International, and others.
- Lexis-Nexis
Full text for newspapers, court opinions, statistical tables, congressional documents, and business trade journals. Also has a health reference section.
- Nursing & Allied Health Sciences: SAGE
This database includes the full text of 26 journals, some going back 23 years. It covers such subjects as medicine, nursing, community / public health nursing, public health, health communication, physiology, physical medicine & rehabilitation, pediatrics, holistic nursing, mental disorders & learning disability, health education & health promotion, etc.
- PsycInfo
PsycINFO provides access to international literature in psychology and related disciplines. Nearly all records contain nonevaluative summaries.
- ScienceDirect
This database has all scholarly articles, mostly from sciences, though some social sciences. Citations from 1980 to present. Some full text starting in 1993, more full text from 1997 to the present.
- WorldCat
The combined catalog from over 9,000 libraries, including the Library of Congress through FirstSearch.

- ERIC (CSA)
Access to the multiple versions of ERIC, including full text ERIC documents from 1993 to the present.
- Physical Education Index
Coverage from 1970. These abstracts feature a wide variety of content, ranging from physical education curricula, to sports medicine, to dance and more.
